Have Questions?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Creative projects come with moving parts, shifting deadlines, and way too many file types. This FAQ section covers the most common questions clients ask before starting a project with R3D Studios.

Whether you’re preparing your property for a photo shoot, organizing files for a rendering, or just curious how long things take, this guide keeps everything straightforward and frustration-free.

What types of properties does R3D Studios specialize in? We focus on multifamily, student housing, and mixed-use developments, collaborating with developers, management companies, and architectural firms to produce marketing visuals that accelerate lease-ups and attract investors.
What services do you offer? R3D Studios provides 3D renderings, architectural visualization, photography, drone footage, and virtual tours. We also manage post-production, digital staging, and full marketing asset coordination.
How long does a rendering or virtual tour project take? While we've been known to work miracles in short windows, we prefer a more strategic, planned approach. Depending on the size of your rendering project, we can have a first draft ready in as little as 1-2 weeks. For virtual tours, typically 1 week from the day of the shoot. Note that these timelines may be impacted seasonally, but we'll let you know when that's the case.
Are your images and virtual tours license-free and fully owned by the client? Yes. All visuals and tours you receive from R3D Studios are license-free, fully owned by you, and can be used or embedded anywhere, including platforms that limit third-party content.
What file formats do you deliver? Photography and renderings are delivered in high-resolution JPG, PNG, or TIFF formats, with optimized web versions included. Virtual tours are hosted by one of our approved platforms, and videos are delivered in MP4 format for web, social, and ad platforms.
Do you work with existing photography or renderings from other vendors? Yes. We can integrate or enhance visuals created by other teams to maintain a cohesive look across all marketing channels. We’re not territorial, just particular about quality.
How should I prepare my property for a photo shoot? Our prep checklist covers everything from cleaning and staging to lighting and exterior readiness. Proper preparation ensures your property looks its best and avoids extra retouching later.

What files do I need to begin a rendering project? We typically need a full architectural pdf set, elevations, material boards, furniture or finish selections, and reference images. The more complete your materials, the faster and more accurate the render.

How do revisions and approvals work? We include three rounds of revisions in every project. You’ll receive proofs for review, and our team provides clear feedback guidance so you can make efficient changes before final delivery.
Do you handle projects outside the United States? Yes. Our workflow is fully digital, allowing seamless coordination with international clients and design teams. We operate comfortably across time zones, coffee helps.
Why choose R3D Studios instead of another 3D rendering company? Because we’re built for collaboration, not volume. Every project gets a dedicated manager, responsive communication, and visuals that reflect your brand’s personality, not a template.
What information do you need for floor plans?

We can reference any existing floor plan that you're looking to redraw. We can also review architectural files and use that as a reference as well. For finishes, please provide some reference photos so we can see and match things like flooring, counters, cabinets and appliances as close as possible.

For furniture, please review and select a style from our catalog here: Furniture Catalog

Do I have to provide my own photos for virtual staging?

You do not! We offer full capture services for photography, nationwide. If you do provide photos, we'll do a quick quality check to make sure they're ready to be used for staging.

What type of furniture do you use for Virtual Staging

We offer a catalog of up-to-date themes and pieces. You can find that catalog here: Virtual Staging Furniture.

Upon request we can provide a link to a more extensive, a la carte furniture selection. But, be prepared, it's easy to go down the wormhole with that thing.
